As official tyre tester for these excellent hoops,i can recommend them on the ZRX. Theres been a lot of crap wiitten about the Michelin M90X & M100X...all by people who have never tried anything else but 020's...& while i wouldnt recommend the M90X(too hard...too "touring")the M100X is a different tyre altogether. Theyre designed for big,heavy,sports/tourers,so they work great on the ZRX. Ive had the rear one on there for a few weeks now,but James(Bucks...)fitted the front one for me this morning & as soon as i put the wheel in,i was out for a test ride. 30 mins later they were nicely scrubbed in & the chicken strips removed & they feel great. So far ive tried 020's,ContiForce,Metz MEZ4,Pirelli Stradas,Mich M90X & these on the REX & i gotta say, these are the best tyres ive had on it. Given a choice & an unlimited budget,i would have fitted Avon AV45/46ST,but i went for the Mich on price(i only paid £99 + £6 p+p for them)and im not dissapointed. These tyres must be the best kept secret around for Rex tyres. Grab a bargain pair from somewhere before they sell out BTW:I tried M90X on my Blackbird. They were nasty things

Thanks Mr SNOOPS sir. Personal recommendation goes a long way in my book :agreed: Thanks for being the official ZRXUK test pilot/guinnea pig on this one. I've often wondered how thw Michellins would behave on the Rex. They were great on the GPZ1100e which is an even heavier bike so I had kinda guessed that they do. Due for new hoops on the Gremlinmobile so pretty shortly you should have a second opinion as to the validity of snoopys claims. Forever the cynic, I have always reckoned that Mr Kawasaki makes more money by selling his bikes shod with Bridgestones than Michellin or any other make which is why he recommends them. :stir:

Mine arrived this morning so I tooke them and the wheels straight to the tyre fitters. Collected them this afternoon as he was a little busy and hurried home to fit the wheels back onto Rex. Just as I was about to wheel the bike out of the garage..... .... the heavens opened. :storm: :hair: :swear: So...... First impressions of the Michellin M100 Macadam. They're the right colour (black), the right shape (round with a hole in the middle) and have tread, which in itself is a vast improvement on the previous 020s fitted. A more extensive road test will follow in due course.

They certainly look the part, i might try a pair but hava question if the nobbly bits wore off so quick does this mean they are good sticky tyres coz those sort dont last very long, especially after the last Macs i tried !!!!

Theyre a SPORTS/TOURING tyre & sports/touring tyres grip to the edges too you know. . . Mileage should be as good as anything out there. Not had them on long enough to find out yet,but i would expect them to equal BT020's...

Scroll up FLOOG, (or click here if ya too lazy) I think he was on about the pics earlier on in this thread.
I've only covered just over 40 miles on these now and am already well impressed. I know that I've only just changed from completely dead rubber at both ends to nice new correctly profiled stuff so the handling is gonna improve anyway. I don't remember the last time I changed both tyres the bike being transformed quite this much though. I'm supposed to be scrubbing these tyres in and am already throwing Rex around the old familiar corners faster than ever. These Michellins really do inspire confidence. I seem to recall Bridgestones when new being a little bit twitchy but not so with these. :agreed: The secret's out now though.
