£4.00 each when genuine Kawasaki ones are only £4.50. . . with pattern ones like this available most places for around £3.00. . . I think theyre expensive. . .

As far as I remember, Champion oil filters for the Rex are £3.99 a pop from Halfrauds.
At that price you can afford to throw them away every 4000 miles or less, even when Kawasaki recommend changing the filter at every other oil change.

Do you need to change the Orings at the same time cus I think they is £3.50 as well.
I am no where new a Kwak garage so an original would cost me more due to postage etc then nipping to Halfords.

If I remember back to my last filter change, Kawasaki doesn't include O rings with the filter. The Honda equivalent filter does.

The ones Ive been getting from the local bikeshop are 6.53 each and no o rings. So to me they are a bargain.

If you're going to halfords, the listing in the book for the 1200 filter is wrong.
The one you should be looking for is Champion X321

:hmm: £8.49 + £5.00 postage = £13.49 or nearly £4.50 each for a little known brand. (I've not heard of them before ) £3.99 or thereabouts for a Champion filter from Halfrauds sounds like a better deal to me. Like I said, I change mine at every oil change anyway. That way if the filter isn't up to OE spec, it's changed twice as often as recommended and as a bonus, ALL the oil is replaced as well because none gets left in the filter.

Ive used filtrex filters before, not on me bike mind you, but in the filter used to final filter aviation fuel before putting it into helicopters. They were also slightly bigger (approx 2 ft high and 18" circumfrence) Ohhhhh vicar.

The ones Ive been getting from the local bikeshop are 6.53 each and no o rings. So to me they are a bargain. You need to find a new bike shop cuz theyre ripping you off. As i said before,GENUINE Kawasaki ones from Kawasaki dealers are only £4.50 & like Grem says,Champion are a respected make from Halfrauds for £3.99. I usually use Filtrex ones,as everyone sells them. I pay £2.18p for them, trade. They retail at around £3.50p. Bet they charge you £30 for oil too...
