I am collecting my 1200S on Saturday and still need to get a tank pad fitted. I don't want to scratch the tank now do I. Can anyone recommend a good pad, bearing in mind it would probably be a pig to get off if I didn't like it. I have seen on ebay (of course) some big carbon look ones, has anyone got one of these? I don't want to spoil such a beauty with a naff product. Cheers

There are so many out there that you just have to choose one that you like. Personally mine is off the rubber type, that matches the colours of the bike.

Personally mine is off the rubber type, that matches the colours of the bike. So thats Majestic Grey then, where did you get them , i've not seen any in our colour. Wardourdrive , ive seen clear ones which would'nt show and look odd. but i cant think where i saw them, but it was a ad in one of the bike Mags.

I like clear ones. You can hardly see the horrible ugly things, yet they still protect your tank!

I'm going to ask a really simple question.
Why does anybody need a tank pad?

They look horrible dont they? I removed the one on my bike cuz i hate the look of them & i scratched the paint taking it off so i had to put another one on to hide the scratch...NOT HAPPY!!! They stop your jacket/zip rubbing on the tank, scratching the paint off...although,i find theyre not really needed on a ZRX,cuz of the upright riding position. My jacket doesnt rub on the tank on the ZRX,so no tankpad on that bike...
