Its true if you fit a narrower tyre,it will speed up the turn in a tad & if you fit a fatter tyre it will slow it down...but if you measure the actual tyre width,you will find that they vary a huge amount from brand to brand even when theyre quoted as being the same size on the sidewall. Ive never suggested fitting oversize or undersize tyres to a bike. All ive suggested is that if you want to buy...for example...a Dunlop D207 & the size for your bike is,say,180...buy a 170 as a D207 in 170 size measures up as a 180. Like wise the Mez4 senario...a 180 is about a 170 in actual dimensions...so buy a 190(which measures up as a 180!)... And think about it...how much difference is 5 poxy mm either side of your tyre gonna make anyway...

If you go oversized, at some point you start to run into tire/chain interference as well. Not sure just where that point is tho'.

Exactly...if you go for a tyre that is wider than standard,you could run into clearance problems. Go for a tyre that "measures up" to the recommended size for your bike...which is basically what ive been suggesting for the last 3 pages...
