Like i said...their website is being redesigned at present. Michelin Piloit Sport would be one of the mosy unsuitable tyres that i can think of. For cheapies,i'd personally go for a pair of Mich M90X oe Metz Mez4. Ive tried them both on my Blackbird and they were both well suited to the big heavy sports tourer sort of bike. I used Mez4's on the Rex too.Good on that too. My tyre of choice would be the Metz Roadtec Z6...its the next generation of Mez4.

Oh yeah,as far as grip goes, the fairing scrapes on my Blackbird was done on M90X's & then continued with Mez4's. The footrests drag along the road quite nicely on the ZRX using Mez4's. So...grip isnt an issue...

Oh,also...if you do decide to go for Mez4's...but a 190 rear,not 180,as this particular tyre is exceptionally narrow & a 190 measures up as a 180...

Those Michellins are highly underrated tyres. My old GPz 1100e was shod with a pair of those and they were brilliant. The Gpz was also a big, heavy sports tourer and these tyres suited it admirably. Confidence inspiring in the wet, reasonably hard wearing and more to the point, reasonably cheap. :broke:

So..have you tried phoning these people yet for a tyre price Bernard? As Grem says, the M90X's should work fine on the ZZR. . . and theyre cheap too...

:hmm: Just noticed that the previous owner has put a 170 tyre on the rear should be 180 in the CD manual - 185 in the book manual apparently the narrower the rear tyre the quicker the turn as far as i can blogg out of the net any thoughts :knock2:
