Hi all New to ZRXUK. Just picked up my standard 2001 1200S in silver. Love it so far. Been riding since 1980. Had every thing from RD125/250/500 to GPZ1100/750/600 ZXR750 etc etc (even did a spot of supermoto racing!!) but this is my 1st Rex, what have I been missing!!

You'll likely find the REX to be a fantastic, do anything ride. Because it is a bit of a standard, you can set it up to do almost anything you want to with it.
With the fairing, the S is clearly set up more for road touring than some other activities. Tons of mods that can be done to this bike as well. Engine responds very well to a jet kit, pods and a full exhaust. A quality suspension set up can do wonders for the handling with the stock components, and there are an amazing array of suspension and other mods as well - limited only by how much your credit card will "stretch".
Enjoy!

Hi Thanks for the reply. Exactly what I was looking to do later this year. Already looking at the full system/jet kits and dyno runs. Running it as standard for rest of this year with a couple of trips over to France or Spain then winter mods(!) Luckily, I have a motorcycle related business so I can get most if not all parts at trade prices. I still think that the credit card will melt with all use it will be getting(!) "We are here for a good time, not a long time" I will post updates as they happen

Sounds like a great plan. Be glad you can get parts at a discount! Check out the specialized parts available from a number of members of the ZRXOA as well. ZRXOA PartsMost will ship overseas.
