I am now half way throught my streetfighter build, should be on the road late November. So far 1224cc. Kit, muzzy cams, flowed ported head, valve springs, clutch springs. The ZX9 rear wheel 17x6 and Metzeler m5 sportec 200/50 aren't a problem.
I know the 200 rear will slow the steering and may increase under steer.
What I want to know is what effect will a wider front have now, and if it's sensible, how wide can I go with the standard forks / trees / yokes ?

I expect that an overly wide front tire will tend to slow the turn in (flickability) as well. Don't know what the maximum size possible might be, but if you're building a streetfighter and really don't care about handling the change in handling may not be relevant to your build.

Going to stick to standard 120 on the front, although streetfighters are a bit of a styling statement, I still like to get the pegs down ( no hero blobs left) so handling is important. Full maxton front and rear going on this week

Going to keep original front wheel tyre combo with bigger discs and fork shrouds to give it a fat (phat ?) bar look. Will post pics, dyno results in about three weeks when complete
