Not sure who it was asking me about Clear Tank Pads and protection strips, but at last Ive tracked the site down. They are RhinoProtect.

Can't tell from the site - it talks about a tank protector and two side protectors.
Are these the clear plastic adhesive pads that one sometimes sees on the back of the tank to protect from zipper scratches, or are they something more than that?

From what I can see there's 4 options. The lamp kit: The tank kit: ...or the complete kit: All the above for DIY fitment. For £299, Supagard will protect everything including wheels and is professionally applied. The right hand column of this page goes into some more detail.

Demo Film?
I saw the stop action bit about the scuff on the car bumper but nothing that appears to indicate how big it is, how it is applied, etc.

Re:Demo Film, yes it's not to clear (no pun) but i think from that you can see it's more of a film, rather than a clear pad, like the ones we use now.
But i'd rather have that , than some of those colourfull tank pads they sell now.

Any idea how flexible it might be - to conform to the shape of the tank? The bumper images showed a pretty uniform bit of bumper that was covered. Not too interested in something that wrinkles up.

Clingfilm. Like the stuff that food is often packaged in.
If it's flexible as well as being stretchy like that then it ought to be able to follow any contour and compound curves without any difficulty. Looks like its glued in place somehow anyway as they mention adhesive somewhere.

The photo set did look like there was some kind of adhesive being pulled apart as they removed the film from the bumper.
Interesting stuff.
