It was a close call, I am looking after my brothers CB1000F till the spring, when Im gonna sell it for him, (He's been posted to Harare for three years). Anyway Thursday I had a chance to ride a bike to work (normally car sharing these days its a green thing). decided I would take the Hinda just to se what it was like. Told karen this and she said went on the Rex of course once the gritters are out in force, no contest

You said it once the gritters are out you would be mental to even think about using a Kawascrappy as it would dissolve within a one ride right after it broke down, as you rightly point out "no contest" it would be the Honda every time built to ride all day & every day without a worry over it stopping or diss appearing before your very eyes. You just can't beat quality thank you Mr Honda

I rode the CB1000 some time ago, while me bike was in the garage...... Ive never been so bored riding a bike in my life honest. Now as i always say, i would never put anybody off from buying a Hondra.... but ( and i say this to those that ask too ) You'll soon get bored of just how "sorted" they are. Perfect handling, balanced etc etc....... but if you want to "RIDE" a bike, not just be a passenger, ditch the honda, and get a Kawasaki, and "RIDE" it. (no insult intended m8withblackbird )

(no insult intended m8withblackbird ) ROFLMAO can I tell you a wee truth I have been a Kwak driver in the past & I bought my current ride back in 2004 with only 400 miles on the clock ( a bike that had never ever been wet as it only went out on very dry & sunny days) Frank the owner was giving it away 1/2 the price of a new machine, could not believe my luck BUT he also had a MINT Z1 in Kwak green (circa mid 70s) the last bike he bought prior to the Blackbird which he claimed near scared him to death (speed wise) but no amount of cash would make him part with the Kwak ! The thing is I still have his address & phone number as I told him one day I would be back.? www.kawasakiz1.com/Enjoy I know I will

Yes and a dam good bike you have in the Blackbird sir. Before I got my Rex I was lookpmg at the Blackbird v the ZZR1100 , and on paper the blackbird came out on top. (just) But I was really after a ELR Rex, ended up with the S ... And the love affair started, still the best bike I ever owned. At the end of the day it's all down to personal choice, I've loved every Kawasaki I've owned, because they've had that "something" about them, they have character, a soul, that I've not found in the Hondas I've owned. ( the VFR750 was the closest to having a soul, great bike. Then the men in white coats killed it with the 800) IMHO of course. ok, i will now go back in my dark room and close the door

This is the e-mail I sent to baby brother
still not amused at the state of it. Gotta agree with badger about the ride though it aint no ZRX.
