Hello, I have been away from the forum for another year and some as I took another couple years off the bike after seeing some shitty accidents. Finally decided to either suck it up and ride again or sell the bike. So, here I am back riding. And my technical questions are: A) I just finished adjusting my valve spacing, and have my cylinders all roughy at .15mm intake and .20mm exhaust. Should I have them looser as tolerances are (18-25 ex and 13-19 intake)? The motor is at 50 000kms. Also, my bike has Muzzy cams (x3 grind) and it noticed a small pit on the far side of two lobes. Should I replace the cams?

At 50K kms they clearances aren't going to alter much now, so, although I personally would have set them a bit wider, closer to the larger tolerance, I reckon you will be fine. The pitting is not a problem. Only becomes one if the pitting/wear goes right across the lobe and affects the valve lift. One would hope that the offending bit is safely trapped in the oil filter

Thanks so much Burchy!!!
I will close her up tomorrow. I have done quite a bit of work with wheels, bar end mirrors and the like, and she looks awesome. I will post pictures. I owe the folks on this board much of my spanning experience in the last 5 years. Searching through past posts has solved so many problems that I often feel I should owe a donation!
