I have things with engines that I have to store for extended periods of time each year - motorcycles, snow blower, lawn tractor, lawn mower, etc. etc. and I use Stabil in each tank when I store them. I don't think it cleans the carbs or anything like that, but it does keep the fuel from going off during the 5 or 6 months that the engine doesn't run. I have periodically used an additive called Sea Foam in a tank of gas as it seems to have some ability to clean carb's internals. I have had folks claim great results from using ChemTool B12 for actually cleaning carbs (full strength for cleaning when apart, and a small dose to clean while running) however, I have not been able to locate this additive here in Canada. Heard loads of good reports on Sea Foam over the years, can get it over hear off :ebay: , not cheap, but as has been said before a bottle should last years.........

I just bought a bottle and ran it through my bike, which was backfiring a bit before putting the stuff in. The flames I got out the back afterward was impressive!
One tank of gas with the Seafoam seemed to help some though.
