Tyres, the most popular motorcycle forum discussion in the world?! Hi, long time no post. Been busy riding and working and well, that's about it. I've come to the end of the life of another BT023 on the rear of my 1200 and planned to replace it with the same as I was very happy with the wear, grip, handling etc. However, my new BT023 arrived this morning and they have sent the BT023GT by mistake. The GT is a slightly different construction for heavier bikes (the ZRX isn't exactly light!) but is essentially the same tyre or so I understand. Just wondering if any of you ugly lot had used the BT023GT on your ZRXs successfully or if you had any thoughts on the GT over the standard tyre. It's getting fitted at 10am tomorrow ready for the weekend so hopefully you only have good things to say Thanks in advance

Oh well, off to take the wheel and tyre in to get it fitted. It's round and black so hopefully won't kill me!

Well, just got back from 1000 French miles with a lot of motorway involved, no signs of wear yet and feels just as good as the standard 023 on the twisties and in the wet. According to Bridgstone, they recommend the standard 023 for the ZRX but similar bikes, the 023GT.
We'll see how the wear goes over the next few months. I managed 4836 miles (including fully loaded 2 up touring in the Alps and Dolomites) on the rear 023 last time, that's almost 2000 miles better than I squeezed from an 020.
