Hi All, Hope someone can help with a problem I have with my clutch on my 2001 REX. After covering 28,000 my stock clutch started to slip so during a major overhaul this winter I fitted an EBC kevlar race clutch with fibers and H/D springs and it slipped worse than my stock clutch so I put my stock clutch back in and got a refund now I have fitted a Barnett kit fibers/steels and H/D springs and this still slips I have cleand out the lever/master end and lubed it and also the slave end and push rod, i'm running 10/30 M/C oil not car oil, has anyone got any ideas as to what my problem might be?
All the best Gareth __________________

I guess that oil is fully synth? That's your problem, if so. Dump the oil and put in semi-skinned. It doesn't have all the friction modifiers that the F/S oil does. The Rex lump is failry ancient and was dsigned to use a lesser oil.
The standard clutch plates with stronger springs is good for up to 160 BHP at the wheel, so all this posh stuff isn't really necessary IMO

Would not a Motorcycle spec synthetic (as Garfy indicated) be formulated to deal with wet clutches? I've used Mobil 1 synthetic in my REX since the second oil change and no clutch problems whatsoever.

Thankyou for all your coments, have finally found the problem, it was my aftermarket billet front sprocket cover which had the wrong dimensions one thin spacer on the slave cyl and it's all sorted : : : :
