looking to buy a portable hard drive about 500gigs, its gotta be lightweight cause I'm getting it in the Uk and bringing it back via Ryan no weight Air. Been trawling several websites and its now hurtin so I neeed any recomendations.

Ward the 1TB LaCie USB 2.0 Hard Disk looks good, do you know if it works with Windows 7, in the blurb it doesn't mention 7, works on Vista an XP

The only reason it wouldn;t work with 7 would be inbuilt software. More than likely you wouldn't be using it anyway.
Win 7 should auto detect the drive and you can drag and drop your stuff too it

cheers guys, think I've got my head round it now.  Reason I need extra space is my wife plays a lot of these hiden object games that she gets from Big Fish and they take up loads of room. So my thinking would b to shove them on an extra drive and leave the llaptop to do its stuff. Does this make sense

That also explains why you are/were always running out ofdownload capacity. Those games are often 100Mb or more each and can soon eat away your monthly download limit
