Now ive got the stroker the battery is weak but its a new one at least, but its a 6volt so im wondering if its ok to put on the optimate or not

Think im right in saying the optimate 3 has no switchable settings , just connect up and charge This battery is tiny :hair:

Pretty sure the optimate would fry a 6 volt battery. It checks to see the voltage and if its too low it will go into a desulphate mode and hit it with a burst of 18 volts. There's nothing on the optimate to switch to 6 volts

The bike starts no problem , 2nd kick every time but the lights are dull till you rev it then Smoke every where in the shed , i must make a fresh mix of pet/oil

If it is magneto ignition, with a generator, then the lights will be only a dull glow at idle. A generator only makes significant electrical power when the revs are up. But the advantage of a magneto is that if you can turn the engine over, it should start, even with a dead battery.

6V lights aint the brightest anyway, you could upgrade the whole system to 12volts
