When I was swapping engines in my 56 Chevy, I briefly had a 348 in there but the throttle linkage wasn't working right. Hooked a wire to the carb and ran it though a hole in the dash. Worked but it was some complicated shifting a four speed manual (right side of the steering wheel over here) while steering with the left, blipping the throttle with the right, and shifting gears with that same right hand :hair: :ups: :surrender:

When me throttle cable snapped i thought about riding it to the MOT station like it but i dont think the MOT man would have seen the funny side Had to cancel the MOT and still no throttle cable after 3 days Ive bodged it so i can run the bike but ithink it will snap if i take the bike out not going to risk it and just wait for the new one The bike must of sat outside seeing how bad the rust was inside the throttle assembly ...arr well least it never happend while i was out on it

:hmm: Strange that, but i guess the only way to prevent the rust is to grease it up well like i have done already , cant beat a good ole dob of grease here and there eh
