:hello: and welcome to :zrxuk: What made you choose a REX after riding FireBlades and a R1..? So long as you keep in mind you wont get the same rocket performance as the R1. Not so much as a step down to a REX, more a step side ways, to a different riding experiance.... Enjoy your Rex

Hello and welcome cassius. I traded my old Fireblade in for a ZRX, best thing I ever did. It's just a totally different experience. No more changing gear every few seconds or trying to keep in a certain rev range. I seem to just plod along taking it easy mile after mile, it's great.

Welcome to the :zrxuk: Cassius! Let's see some pics of yer ride - always interested in the personalization that folks do to their REXes! I'd be surprised at a 97 that didn't have something changed on it. Modding is one of the unavoidable tasks round here.

hi and thanks for the warm welcome heres a pic of my rex not the cleanest i know but its getting there slowly, the main reason i got it after having sportsbikes was i was offered the bike cheap, it had been sitting round for a year untouched and unloved and was running rough,so i bought it cleaned all the fuel system out stripped and cleaned and then balanced the carbs gave it a service and now she goes really well i replaced the standard indicators for smaller ones, then stripped and polished the wheels.at the mo im in the middle of replacing the front fork seals

very nice looking Rex there, coming along great. I think this is something Mr Kawasaki got very right, the deep purple and deep red colours on the R model. everyone says they are the very nice colours You got yourself and rare(ish) bike there
