Seems a little obvious, but have you checked your fluid level..

Doesn't sound good, Brakey Loss of fluid would show up with a dragging clutch, but yours seems to be the opposite. What's your engine oil? I've heard comments that fully synthetic oil will cause slipping. Use semi-synthetic as recommended. Also make sure you're not overfull as this will also cause slipping. Was this happening before your full throttle sprint to Gib. I wonder if the two are connected. Bottom line I reckon that the clutch plates are either too oily or the plates/springs are knackered. Don't think the hydraulics would cause slipping

Burchy, I'm usin fully sythn oil. Hard to get semi synth here but will try again before I look at the plates. Hydraulics workin fine, no probs changin gear and down shiftin. Been noticing it for a while now and hoped the magic pixies would fit it. But no the wee bugars haven't. (not leevin thim milk an cookies again ) If it is the plates are they easy to change. Only done car clutches before.

[glow=red,2,300]D.[/glow]Only done car clutches before. A. there is and always will be big debates on here about full or semi sythn, some have used full sythn with no problems for years, some like me, put in full and the clutch started slipping which went away as soon as I changed back. B. rough guess, possibly since you changed to full mayby C. Yes D. If you can do that then a bike clutch is a piece of p*ss its the bite point that could be a problem, I know this is gonna sound a bit but where are your adjusters set to on the lever as chaniging them moves the bite point. sorry, but personally to me it sounds awfully like a new clutch is required.

Been using full synthetic now for 3 years.
Never a problem with the clutch. Only thing I noticed different was the transmission shifted noticeably smoother.
By the way. How many miles on your clutch?

Well, with that many on the clutch, depending on how badly you've abused it (and we all know that REX clutches NEVER get abused ;D) it may be due for a refresh.
If so, popping new plates in isn't that large or difficult a task.

38000 miles? throw in the best 10-40 mineral motorcycle oil that's handy replace fluid (good old DOT4) for the slave ride if it still slips then plates & springs check generator-starter chain, tensioner & guide while your in there ;)i'd normally ask if your sure its not your wheel but as your haulin' more than most Kenworths
