this just gets better by the minute, have stripped and rebuilt me front calipers, with new seals, pins and pads, pistons were all polished and sparkly when I put them back
however, now I cannot get the bloody things to bleed, the fluid just sits in the reserviour looking and me and refuses to be pumped anywhere.
anyone got any ideas.

you've got to undo the bleed nipple on the caliper first!

it may well be beyond that, rigged up a back bleeder tonight, using an old windscreen washer pump and some rubber tubing, then pumped fluid back into the system using the bleed nipples, then all the way back up to reserviour, still got no lever and pistons aint moving, which now leads me to believe that the master cylinder ( a weak spot on Kawasakis anyway) needs a overhaul as well.
at the moment, its in the garage with the brake lever strapped to the handlebars and i will have another go tommorow night, if that dont work its off with the master cylinder

if they are straight through hoses, just brake them at the union on caliper first, then nipple aferwards- took me 10 mins

well the good news is, that after two evenings of gentle coaxing I have a brake lever of sorts and all six pistons actually move. Still feels far to soft though, so am gonna order up a new set of rubber for the master cylinder and over haul that, if that dont work Im gonna replace the master cylinder with an uprated one.

Les, try this for an overnight fix
pull the lever up, not too tightly and cable tie it on, to the bars. lthis opens the master cylinder up to the fluid line. Leave it open all night and this will allow all the minute bubbles to escape. often works brilliantly

Agreed with that.
Sounds like the master cyl is trying to bite air. Also try bleeding the master cyl directly via the banjo bolt. Obvoiusly lots of rags are needed to soak up fluid.

Might want to put a plastic tarp over the tank, etc cuz ya really don't want to get brake fluid on your paint!!!
