Bit of a stupid question I think but here goes. Do the pannier mounts just bolt onto the rack, as I susopect they do. OR do you add more spacers to the outside of the rack?? Anyone got the fitting destructions??

This will probably be no help at all ....but if you are referring to a genuine KAWASAKI rack and pannier mount kit then YES, the two side pannier mounts attach to the existing rack kit If you buy just the rack, you'll see how it affixes to the grab rail holders. If you also purchase the side pannier mounts, these simply bolt to the rack with the existing bolts. Very secure, very neat in my opinion Don't forget, with the genuine KAWASAKI rack, you'll need to purchase a separate GIVI MONOKEY universal fixing plate which clamps onto the rack to allow fitment of ALL Monokey cases The GIVI monorack 433F has NO provisions for pannier mounts

Kawasaki Rack and pannier mounts as fitted to the majestic grey, are exactly like those in Floogs pic. You basically stick bolt through hole in pannier mount, then through hole in rack, add spacer onto end of bolt and stick it all through hole where the grab rail used to be. Top tip, cover tail piece with a cloth to avoid chipping huge chunks out of paintwork. Loosen screws holding tailpiece in place to allow a little movement when lining up spacer and bolt into lub. I did nearside front, offside front, offside rear then nearside rear. Put them on again loose then once all in place tighten up in the same order, Retighten tailpiece screws, Stand back and admire handiwork.

Thanks Floog and Trucker. I already have the rack on and the pannier brackets, just no destructions and extra spacers. Will have a go tomorrow to see if they go on OK, I am sure they will. Thanks for the pics Floog as it explains it all. Now just need those Panniers

Have a chat with Carl at Cradley Kawasaki. He deals in Kappa luggage there which is made under licence from Givi, is just as good and more importantly, cheaper.

That would be cheating and I wished I had thought of it. Mind you just bought a GPS mount to fit on the S. Froma very nice man at Bob Telfer Custom Mounts Such a nice man he is posting it to me and sending an invoice and not charging postage. Comments from boss was ' Is that something else you bought for the bike???' when I say all sheepish, thats it for now, I was just laughed at and the bosses comment was behind a grin, ' thats what you said last time'

MAUMAU, I bought the genuine Kawasaki Rack 99990890A and Pannier supports 99990893A via my Honda dealer The kit was absolutely fabulous. Beautifully made, easy to fit and I thought looked right. Add a Givi/Kappa universal monokey plate and panniers and your Rex is ready to tour. The whole things comes off in about 15 minutes, so you can return your rex to standard, with original grabrails whenever you wish with no permanent modifications made to the bike TRUCKER now has my rack and panniers, he'll tell you how good they are

I bought exactly the same and will definatly agree with all that FLOOG said. That in itself is a first and is Trestaqment to the quality of the aforementioned goods.

Gremlin Floog hehe They kawasaki rack does look well made. It's the quick release bit on the Motechs that caught my eye - clipping them off at the campsite before razzing round the local roads. Partially convenience, mostly laziness and vanity. Mau
