You have had some bad news lately wardourdrive and as you say, the bike is really ther least of your problems right now. Sorry to hear that. I'm a little surprised at teh price of the oil pan, forever being the pessimist I thought it would be a lot more expensive than that. As for removing the tank and fairing to change the oil pan..........Good idea. At least if you're unlucky enough to knock the bike off it's stand while you're working, they won't get damaged, ;D

Grem its true. trouble is the bike is my worry now as everything else is being dealt with, NHS is excellent IMHO. I phones Cradely Kwaker and Peterborough Kwaker and got the same price from both and they both had the oil pan in stock I agree taking the fairing off etc just to do this but that is what the book says, I dread to think what you ahve to remove to change a bulb So I will leave the fix as is for now. Too scared to even lift a spanner to it at the moment incase more cheese cracks, don't knwo my own stength
