No expert on these things, but are the bolts all torqued down properly, failing that i'd say a new gaskets needed quite an easy one to replace i think. Cylinder head cover bolts (cam cover) 9.8 N-m ( 1.0 kg-m 87 in-lb) sounds a lot to me but thats what the manual says

Hi Brakey its not a hard job to do .
Tank off Plugs out put some tissue down the plug recess. If like the R you have a plastic shield at the front of the cover to stop crap coming through this aswell . Take out all the cover bolts . I am not sure if I took a coolent hose off cor remember . Take the cover out to near side ( gear change side) .
Now I have had mine out twice and reused doing this method with no problem . Remove cam gasket and x4 plug port gaskets.
The cover has a recess clean this out and use black sealer in said grooves and refit the gaskets, Will be obvious when removed . I think I put sealer on the other face aswell. Refit when tightened down clean off excess sealer . Do'nt be too excessive with the sealer were not fitting a shower tray . Hope this helps .
