If I dont use my rex for a few days the starter sticks, If I rock it in gear it usually frees off and is OK untill its left again. Any body any idea what sort of job it is to strip and sort out. Also whats the best workshop manual and are there electrionic versions available?

Sounds suspiciously like a brush problem to me, that will require stripping out the starter and replacing the brushes (if you can get them) or possibly replacing the whole starter motor, there are normally a couple of bikes breaking on flea bay.

Is it physically stuck, as in it won't move without significant physical force?
Or when you bump it over a bit it will suddenly crank with no problem?
If the latter, I'd go with Trucker. Brushes get worn and when the starter stops at a dead spot, nothing happens till you physically move it off the dead spot.

usually bumps over then fires, then no problem until it stands for a while. So thanks for the help ,looks like I' spending xmas stripping starter motors, (much more fun than being inside with relatives) Cheers chaps

I'd check all the electrical connections are clean & tight first.
