Sorry to be a spanner numpty but i want to lift tank of at weekend, all my previous bikes have had ON/OFF/RES on the fuel tap where as Rex has ON/OFF/PRI, i,m assuming PRI is off or is this one of those jobs best done whilst not smoking . cheers

If you turn it to "prime" all the fuel will run out as soon as you disconnect the pipes... If you turn it to "off" this will turn the fuel off If you leave it on "on",the fuel wont run out either,as the on position requires vacuum from a running engine for it to let fuel past. The "prime" position is a straight through position. Dont you have a "res" for reserve??? At the end of the day,just turn it to on or off...whatever you do,dont turn it to prime...

Sorry my mistake, on the Rex i have ON/RES/PRI no OFF postion on the tap thats where i am confused, from what you have said i need to put tap to ON position before disconnecting pipes, got it, cheers snoops. ps note to self "stop posting whilst drunk !"
