Been thinking of a winter project for my 1200r. I would like to fit a set of Upside Down Fork's. Would anyone have any idea what might fit with the minimal amount of alteration. I've been told a set ZXR 7 will fit, any thought's Cheers.

Those forks with yolks will fit but are a bit on the short side .
Most common forks to use are zx9r B1 to B4 the later you can use your existing 6 potts for the earlier either a bracket for the 6 pots or suzuki k1/k2 6pots with a sleeve as they are only 8mm holse but 10mm in the leg .
Zx9r yolks but the stem needs changing as it is bigger than the rex one . Either transplant the original or get one machined up . Brackets made up to fit the clocks .

save your money ,blood sweat and tears. spend £270 and get MAXTON to re-valve your forks and I'll guarantee that you'll have a front end that works. That is you'll have brakes that work and a front end thats planted that gives plenty of feed back. Up-side down forks look great but they don't work you'll still have to get them re-valved. i know numerous people who have done it and they have high speed handling problems after converting. both the zrx and the zx9 have too much compression damping and not enough rebound damping and usually under sprung ."TYPICALLY Japanese " most people source their front ends from the scrappy. 90% have been down road and damaged .You wont know this; till you strip down completely or you'll be posting messages on this site why your Rex not handling. i hope you choose the least expensive option and enjoy
