Following a recent post, TRUCKER and GREMLIN helped me out regarding rear pillion extenders from a guy on the ZRXOA I ordered from VIC RAY, lovely bloke, on his web site by credit card... www.vixfix.comHe confirmed receipt of payment and said they would take 7-14 days delivery. I received them today...6 days later!!! Here's what you get.. I am a complete mechanical numpty, but even I managed to fit the buggers in under 40 minutes. I am over the moon. The quality is first rate and they provide the pillion with a bigger surface for thier plates of meat, the pegs are also 3-4 inches lower down, and also further forward for comfort. There's even a rubber pad. VIC RAY is THE MAN Cost me around £70 at the current excahnge rate, including postage and I am delighted. Top kit. Just need MRS FLOOG to test them so I can get them set exactly right for her

:hmm: Now that's got me thinking. Being both an ex-engineer and a tightwad :broke: I'm pretty sure I could make these myself, or at least get them made and fit my existing footpegs to them. I've always had my reservations about these as some of the ones that I've seen don't fold up as neatly as those, if at all when not in use. Add the fact that most of the time I ride with the balls of my feet on my own pegs I'm a little concerned about pillion feet getting in the way of mine. (Sons' size 11s already do with alarming regularity and that's without the extenders.)
Talking of existing footpegs, my rex is fitted with these for both rider and pillion.. That's the ones on the right of the pic, in blue, naturally. These don't look at all comfortable but in actual fact are a huge improvement over the rubber padded things that are fitted to Rex as standard and are an awful lot grippier, particularly when it's wet. Without the padding under my feet I feel a lot more in touch with what the bike is telling me. Standard Rex pillion pegs didn't have any rubbers if memory serves, looking more like those in the middle and I've heard no complaints from the co-pilot since changing them for these.

The ones I got use the existing footpegs as standard, I should imagine that they could be made, after all chuck made mine. Anyone with a milling machine and a lathe should be able to do something. As a note, the ones that Floog got do look a better quality.
