Had a strange encounter on the way to work today, travelling about 95mph when I started to lose all power. I pulled onto the hard shoulder and it totally cut out, left it a minute or 2 then fired up again no problem. Set off and about 2 miles down the road and same again at same speed. Couldnt start my boy for love nor money, waited about 15 mins then he started. Took it easy at 70mph with no further probs. Any ideas? would be much appreciated.

Fuel cap vent?
The symptoms you describe point to fuel starvation and this has been traced to a blocked fuel cap vent by other Rexers in the past.
If it happpens again, open the fuel cap and listen for the sound of air rushing into the tank, sort of a hissing sound and then try and start the bike. If it starts easlity enough then you've found the problem.
Compressed air can be used to blow the vent clear.
Either that or you've had the tank off lately and kinked one of the fuel hoses underneath when you replaced it.

If you've not had the fuel tank off, I'd bet on the vent. Sometimes when they are fully plugged, once the vaccum has built up the bike will hardly run at anything above an idle. If just plugged a bit, it'll run at part throttle, but once the fuel demand increases (95 mph or so would do it ) the vaccum builds up enough that it reduces the flow = no go.

Been there, its happened to me twice now , both times had exactly the same problem, mine was due to leaving the bike in the sun :sunny: , this caused contents of the tank to expand, once moving, coincidentley at 95, the air caused the tank to cool thereby creating a vacuum in the tank, once i realised what caused the problem then the answer is a simple as grem says, just open the filler and allow the tank to equalise, the only snag is, is that it can be dificult to get the filler open .

. . . it can be dificult to get the filler open . Especially at 95 mph, since ya need the key to open it.

I whacked some wd40 in the lock which helped though. Least I know what it is now. Thanks you guys :kma:
