As someone who has relentlessly picked on most of my esteemed and illustrious ZRXUK compatriots Poked fun, dissed and made naughty remarks....... It seems only fair that they have their revenge :agreed:
I will now make an admission that even MRS FLOOG doesn't know because I was so embarrassed....... :hmm:
Back in 2002, I worked as a Sales Executive for....
Motorcycles
My first duty every morning was to push all of the Leviathan Beemer bikes out of the showroom and onto the forecourt....no small task as we had LT's (Gold-wing things), and RT tourers, plus GS's and other marques including Harley and the Jap pack
My colleagues said from day one " One day you WILL drop a bike, we all have ". And I dismissed that claim and promised myself it would never happen
Well, with the inevitability of a farm yard porker to the bacon slicer...I did
One evening, pushing the bikes back into the showroom, all lined up neatly.....I lost my footing and dropped one of these.....
a 650GS
The lightest bike in the BMW range at only 170kg's. In slow motion it fell sideways into one of these...
R1150R
....which fell into a boot display rack and one of these...
Everyone fell about laughing :rotf: :teaspit: while I just stood there, mortified, rooted to the spot in disbelief. Luckily the boss was not in work that day and the other guy's simply ordered new bars ends, lever and indicators for the bikes and played it all down.....
I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole. What a complete and utter
OOOOOOoooooops!!!!
