So could Gremlin. ;D I have no interest in football but what I do find interesting is the fact that while England are playing, the roads are all but empty. This means I can get out and have some unhindered fun if the last world cup is anything to go by. :sunny: I really hope our team do well this time as that'll mean even more playtime for Gremlin.

...sorry Floog, you'll have to explain this thread for me...whats happened??? Our national football squad played their final friendly against Jamaica before flying off to Germany for the WORLD CUP 2006.... A great performance, what we all wanted and expected..... 6-0 to England with a classic 4-4-2 line up. A hat trick from Crouch (the big gangly giraffe!!), and he even missed a penalty.... That's 6 consecutive wins for our boys in Internationals including a superb 3-1 win over the talented Hungarians .....and now it's the big one. I shall hopefully be able to watch every game, and will love every minute of it. Come on Boys, give us English something to shout about and be proud of..... I have a giant St George's flag flying proudly from my front bedroom window, and a St George's flag flying from my car window......COME ON ENGLAND.....

World Cup............ wake me when it's over I totally understand that point of view, and fair play to all of you who dislike football ....however This is our national game, our national team representing our country I love it. Only once every four years and I enjoy every minute, seeing the best players and teams in the world playing a game I used to play myself (and I have medals to prove it) I am English and proud of it and will support my country in whichever sport they are participating in, world cup, olympics, european atheletics, bike racing, rugby, tiddly-winks...... Part of the reason SOOOOOOO many of us are flying St George's flags this year from cars and windows is because the ENGLISH backlash is starting against the political correctness and injustice of us losing our national identity that is creeping across like a cancer Avoid the football if you wish, but never avoid flying your nations flag and being proud of your country. It isn't JUST football, it's national pride as well (and that does not mean National front Or racism)

Actually,i do like to support English sportspersons...but football...i'd rather watch paint dry... To me football ranks alongside Formula 1... put it on the telly when you cant sleep & the boredom of it will send you off in 30 seconds flat...

DVLA Warning On a serious note ! It's great to see the English showing a bit of Patriotism. I still hate football though

This is strange but true,
up until about 10 years ago, I had no interest in footy at all. However, I am now with Floog, I will be watching the team and will be flying the flag, although I draw the line at attaching potentially lethal weapons to me car.

......but never avoid flying your nations flag and being proud of your country. Flying a flag, precariously mounted to the top edge of a door on a moving vehicle is less than clever IMO. A local lady has recently been partially blinded by one of these having fallen off a passing vehicle. Add that to some of the halfwits completely obsuring their rear windows with their patriotism and you have a recipe for disaster. If some asswipe turns right in front of you, just as you were about to overtake because he GENUINLY didn't see you because his rearward vision was obscured, you suddenly cease to be all that patriotic. How do these 'baubles' fit into the Construction and Use regualtions? You can be almost certain that if you attached a St Georges flag to a motorcycle in some way you'd get pulled in double quick time. Or is that just me being cynical again?
