LIGHTSPEED, what do you think of home grown heroes 'THE TEA PARTY'?? I am a massive fan have been for years. Absolutely superb Canadian band and the singers voice is truly fabulous :ten: My outlaws in BC got to see them live a couple of years ago ....sadly I wasn't over there at the time I have all thier CD's and it HAS to be played at maximum volume

Interesting path from the indie band startup to their current stature, and quite a winding road to get to their current sound. They seem to also have a significant following in Australia.
Don't know what has happened to them lately. They cancelled a whole bunch of tour dates last fall and I haven't seen anything new since then.
I did see an Ebay auction of guitars and original CD's for a fund for their former manager (I think) but don't know if that has anything to do with their current situation.

Over here in Blighty they are hardly known. Their last single 'STARGAZER', scraped the mid thirties in the UK charts You can buy thier albums easily, but I get new stuff sent over from my folks whenever it's released I bought a superb DVD of thier singles videos in 5:1 surround sound which was astonishing, especially 'WALKING WOUNDED'. You could hear instruments, voices, small children eating packets of crisps in the back ground.........OK OK maybe that was a bit of a fib there... Thought 'THE INTERZONE MANTRAS' was their best album to date (I like their more commercial offerings rather than the slightly sitar-esque early stuff). What a band, what a voice.
