Had the buffalo bottoms to match the jacket but as you say had to get shot of just to bulky can move, thought the padding would thin down with wear but hasn't so got some weise jeans with Knox protection and their water proof at the moment.Leather jacket to start posthaste then there will be the foot ware question , don't normally get cold on the bike usually toes, fingers and chin

Have to say, I would love to do the T-shirt and jeans thing. but at the end of the day, I don't like pain, and the sense of self preservation tends to kick in if i start to get tempted.

I always treat myself to one short crazy T-shirt and jeans ride every summer to remind myself just how vulnerable I feel. I popped down the road to a mates place for a cuppa last year, wearing leather jacket and denim jeans. We ended up having a blast over to Wales it was such a nice day and I felt naked without my leather jeans on then. For local journey I don't tend to bother too much (always wear boots though) but for days out it's full kit for me.

Surely there's something a doctor could do about this ! Still, guess it must be warm ? Other than occasional pilot jacket and jeans rides on rare blazing hot summer days you can't beat the secure feeling of leathers IMO

(not that you want to test it out offcourse!). IMHO i prefer leather's to

I have both to and have road tested both in the past too literally and both work well as long as you keep the body armer in them

If I'm on the bike, I'm wearing leather. Have been down, with my leathers, and the "comfort/lightness/ventilation/stylishness" of the fabric stuff just isn't worth the road rash.

[quote author=zrxdog I have both to and have road tested both in the past too literally and both work well as long as you keep the body armer in them [/quote] My day will come , did see some pics of someones leg peeled knee to ankle in one of the bike mags headline " I,ll never where jeans again "he only popped down the road got sandwiched. Watching M & Motors and they had a guy in full leathers tied a rope to his ankle and towed him on his butt behind a car for 3/4 of a mile just for a test scuffed rear leathers but nothing else only a few minor heat burns, think that says it all
