I seem to have serious probs with this site. Yesterday for example I couldnt post messages, it took forever and just said done and no posts. I am then logged out. Its also so slow, takes ages to do anything, the emoticons are always red crosses. If its just me then I know its my pc and better sort it. Dont have a prob anywhere else though, just here??? Weird!

No it's not you Kwakers, I find the site slow, it's because there is so much info in the make-up of the page, it takes a while to load if you dont have a powerful PC. I dont have any probs at work, but there again i use the might of the NHS computer system. Also there are times when at home, it's as fast as work...so sometimes slow sometimes OK.

No problems so far at home, sometimes it slows down, but thats normally down to the broadband server. However, at work different game, everytime I post it logs me out Computers are weird to me at the best of times.

When you look at this site now and compare it to what it was like when it f1rst opened you'll see that there have been a great many changes. Each time something new or a different feature is added to the standard Proboard, the page can take a fraction of a second longer to load than it did previously. We've had to be very careful in what we have done here to avoid bringing ZRXUK to a grinding halt. (Easily done, I've done it on the test site on more than one occasion) Any site improvement is going to be a compromise, a trade off in page load speed. Some computers are of course slower or faster than others. This one at Gremlin Towers is no better than average and sometimes slower depending on what else I'm up to at the time, so has been a good guide as to how most people will view the site. Our computer system at work is a lot faster for instance. As for red X's intead of emoticons, the only explanation I can come up with for that is that you have somehow blocked images from Photobucket.com or at least one directory from my account there as all the emoticons are hosted from the same location.
