Just joined the group and thought I would say hello to everyone. I'm Grant I'm from near Canterbury Kent and I have a 2002 ZRX1200s amongst others (Gpz750 Turbo and GPZ750R1 just sold my ZZR110D1). I'm looking to modify the Rex as I have always felt that it is holding back. Hope to chat to some of you soon.

Welcome the the UK site. There's lots that can be done to the REX, both from a suspension point of view (probably the best time you can spend on the bike to begin with) as well as the engine. A proper suspension set up (correct sag at both ends, along with reducing compression and increasing rebound) can transform the handling. Good tires, with proper inflation can correct a number of handling concerns. The engine can be improved a bit in throttle response with little cost and a small bit of work. Moderate power gains (in the order of 20+ horsepower can be had with the installation of a good jet kit (with or without pods - but you'll likely opt for pods once you've fought with the stock airbox!) and a full aftermarket exhaust. Power can be increased to over 160 hp if your pockets are deep enough (1224 bore kit, smooth bore carbs, cams, etc. etc.) Ask questions and if someone here doesn't have the answer, we can likely point you in the right direction.
