Oh my be-jesus . Yet another inventor that's got a product and then looks round for something to make it fit into. SAT-NAV Helmet Keep an eye open for the view from the rider showing "Field of clear vision" WTF ..... He might think its a good idea to have tunnel vision while riding a bike in the city, I think its just too dam dangerous. mmmm But then on the following sequence there a lane marking right in the line of sight.. And look at the size of the helmet that got to take all that Sat-Nav gizmo junk.. ya going to have a helmet the size of a Spaceman. Well its only going to be $2,000

You'll not find me using/purchasing one of those expensive distraction machines. I found the process of simply diverting your eyes from what is in front of you long enough to determine what the floating images mean, very distracting. What was with the image drifting off to the side when you turned your head!! ? Can't escape the critter. Company guy didn't address the reporters concern that it might be much better/simpler to use voice to provide directional cues (like the voice directions on a car nav system) rather than interpreting visual icons. Simply said that they use voice commands for things like map display and trip set up. Another gimicky, tech product looking for a market!!!! :rocket:

Yep can see that staying in the prototype format. Is it me but I can remember back many years ago when Sat Nav was still a novel idea some German Company made a set of bar grips that vibrated in varying degrees linked to a Sat Nav the bigger the buzz in right or left grip the closer to your turn, as you can see that also stayed in the FAILED pile

Not for me i'm afraid, i like the old method of just following my nose, but its only a matter of time before you can buy some gizzmo that clips to the visor and displays a HUD inside the helmet, direction, speed and probably sat nav as well.......
