Hi thinking of powber coating my rear springs on the rex 11 does any one no how to remoeve the springs of the damper,is it a simple job?.Cheers guys.

hey rlatham, you"ll need a spring compressor bit dodgy to try anything else unless the lads here have come up with anything or you have a mate with popeye arms

When I rebuilt similar ones I found car spring compressors didn't fit, so I stuck them in a lathe and held them compressed with half a dozen tie wraps while I unscrewed the bases. It wasn't as iffy as it sounds....honest

guy who rebuilt my rears just put one end in a vice and a long bar in the hole at the other end and pulled down on it to release the spring holder thing

Used small ratchet straps on mine and they worked
