I had my ZRX for over a year and I still haven't detected where this rattling noise is coming from. I've put in a new cam chain tension, wasn't that. I have dun the valve adjustments, needed doing anyway but wasn't that neither. The engine feels stronge, the rattle seems to happen when I am shutting the throttle off, about 2000 rpm. I've spoken to Bristol Kawasaki about it they said some of these bikes just do that. I am just wondering is there anybody who's had a similar rattle and have you been able to fix it. I know it's not serious ,it's more annoying than anything else. Suggestions much appreciated.

Not got any rattle on mine.!
Are you sure its coming from the engine..? or could it be something on or near it..check all the bolts, and bits and bobs that are near the engine....Rad, Horn ect...

Make sure your rad brackets are OK, as well as the fan mounts behind the rad. Some have also discovered a buzz/rattle from the gauge cluster touching the inside of the fairing.
Otherwise generally check all the bolts

Thanks Burchy,Rossa I am definitely interested in what you think it might be when you have a listen. I've got no idea. looking forward to meeting up on Sunday, should be good weather.

The rattling noise has gone, basically I thought I would get rid of what is known as the octopus. I bought some Ivans plates and fitted and today so as well as the rattling noise being gone the bike is running lots smoother. I would definitely recommend this mod. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
