aftnoon all. i got my "sh*tty 'orrible metalic blue" otherwise known as silver '97 1100 from the misses for me birthday in sept ;D. tis standard at the mo due to lack of funds apart from the rack which i got from a m8 that blew his 11 up a few yrs ago and aloso the horns have been moved under the fairing. saw a bracket on the oc site and decided to make one meself rather than fork out £20 odd for one lol and mines stainless

Afternoon alcyvic. Don't knock the colour of it mate, there aren't too many of them around in that colour so is probably worth a lot more on rarity value alone. Sounds like your missus is a real gem too, buying you a bike for your birthday. Most of us have to beg for months and make all sorts of irrational promises (lies ) to get what we want. Welcome to our site anyway. Some of us here don't have too much money either :broke: and are always on the lookout for ways of saving a few bob to keep our bikesin top order. You'll find plenty of good advice here so dive in. Oh, and have fun. ;D

Greetings Alcyvic, and a very warm welcome to :uk: Fine looking brute, and can't believe you'd say that about the colour Looks great to me. We're mostly all in the same boat, plan to mod our Rexes, but it's pretty much always dependent upon life getting in the way , finances, bills etc. In my humble opinion, having to work hard for each bit added makes them all the more appreciated and worthwhile Hope you enjoy the site and have some fun

Welcome to the :uk: Sorry you don't like the colour of yer bike. Mine's a 03 Silver and I love it - kinda exclusive. Lots of tips here from folks who are trying to personalize their REX on a budget, so lots of help available.

Hi alcyvic and welcome, be sure to have fun in here.
By the way, the colours great.
I bought mine in 97 and if I remember correctly there were only two colours available in the UK at launch, the one you´ve got and the one I got.

Hi there Alcyvic, welcome indeed to the SunnySite of ZRXUK. Nowt wrong with the colour mate, but as you say, turning it black to match ya leathers would ad the extra meaness to it.....(or the odd bit of bling anyway, just join in the light hearted banter .. and have some fun
