Hi to all. Just joined because I found the site when looking for a solution to a problem I had on the bike. I didnt even know this existed. I own a silver ZRX1200R. Had it for just over a year. It took me over a year to find the right one. Nobody wants to part with them. somebody told me the silver ones are not very common. Seen loads since I got mine though. Hope to see some of you around and about this year.

Welcome Rockhopper. Great gang here, lots of good information (if you can discern it from the blather ) You are the very lucky owner of a Silver 1200R. We are a very exclusive group, owning the most limited production REX of all. Obviously only a chosen few are allowed the privilege of owning the very rare, Silver REX. Truth be told, Kawasaki clearly allotted the same amount of power for each colour of REX they produced, so you can see that the much larger numbers of other coloured REXes produced really diluted the power available to any one of them. You'll soon note that the vast group of Green REX owners tend to compensate for the resulting lack of power by banding together in mutual support groups which gives them the courage to bluster on about the superiority of there Green mounts. Silver REX owners benefited most from this Kawasaki power allocation, since we got the same amount of power, just shared amongst a much smaller number of motorcycles! All joking aside ;D we all tend to agree that the REX, in any of its versions, is one of the best all round bikes out there and seldom let them escape our possession willingly. Tho' there are few here who are REX-less, but likely only temporarily. Once again, welcome, and enjoy. Love to see some pics of your ride!

Hi to everyone.
My problem was with the seat lock. I posted a request for help in the technical section but havent had time to try anything yet. Thanks to all who made suggestions.I will keep you posted.
My bike is pretty standard. I have a hugger in my mates bodyshop being sprayed up to colour match the bike. Hopefully it should look pretty good. Will place a piccie when i have worked out how to do it. I am not very up on these things yet.

Cheers for that. Will have a go at posting a piccie at the weekend.
Im not a rockclimber. I dont like heights. I am a member of the lifeboat crew and was given the name when I was on our inshore lifeboat and got picked up by a wave and dumped on the shore behind some large rocks. I had to be pulled off by our offshore boat. Bit embarrasing. It was a while ago and I learned a lot from it.

Weklcome in, mate. I've only been on here a few weeks myself. Those silver "R"s must be quite rare as I don't think I;ve seen one in the flesh, yet. Can't wait for your piccy
