. A pride of silver "S"s - now that sounds reeeeeaaaaaaaaalllllly cool Lesson one, here they are referred to as more of a majestic grey type colour than common silver. Lightspeed has a proper silver one So one trip to poole quay when it starts up again to be organised. At this rate it wont be too long before the sarf of sarf chapter is gonna be bigger than the midlands As a thought, burchy, go into your profile, go to skins and select silver 2.

My first run out on the Rex was to Poole last September. I went with my son Pete, who had just passed his test and was riding an immaculate 26year old Suzuki GSX250. You probably know only too well the bend over the bridge at Longham. Approaching this from Poole, we came across an artic having trouble getting round. I braked and Pete did the shoulder check before he braked, but by then it was too late and he locked up the front and hit me quite hard on the rear tyre. he put it down and slid right across the carriageway. Luckily all the on-coming traffic was held up by the artic, so he managed to scramble back to his bike and drag it off the road. A good salutary experience for him as he was just getting to the "I'm invulnerable" stage. Damage to the bike was limited to a few scratches and a broken throttle clamp, which Rob Willshers supplied in 48 hours. 7 days later he's winging it round the Mountain Mile! Not sure when Poole starts up again. I guess it will; be Easter time, but I will check it out and post it here.

Some times that "over the shoulder life safer" just isn't worth it, there is ALWAYS much more happening in front of you , than behind. But as you say, he has learned a valuable lesson. #1....NOT TO RUN INTO THE BACK OF DAD.

Oh no, not another grey S, they're taking over the place. :headbang: On the plus side, it just helps make my blue one that little bit more rare and exclusive. Welcome to the madhouse Burchy, looks like you'vwe already made a couple of friends here. It would be. I'd also suggest that the Majestic grey twins are now triplets.

Thanks, Grem. I have this vision of a small convoy of "S"s going into Poole where there is a weekly bike gathering of about 1000 bikes from April to September
