Kind of expecting everything to be fine, but i screwed a GPZ550 engine big time (heat seized it and blew the crank) when i was 19 "learning" about engines and never touched one since (cost a fortune to fix as you can imagine). I'm fine with brakes, bearings, oil/filter changes etc etc just never had the balls to do an any major engine work since.

Sneaky sod was trying to wriggle out of next weekend on Saturday cos it is 1st March.
I did point out that he suggested that date and would be sticking to it. I have arranged insurance and everything and whether my bike is new or not i am a paying customer and if he wanted me to remain so, we are going on Saturday. The best i will do for him is leave it till after midday. Chances are i am spending a lot more than the people who will be collecting there 08 reg Piaggios etc anyways.
And how long does it take? I dont want to take windy walks with him and hold hands over lunch, i want to give him my storm and some money, him give me keys and some bits of paper and be gone!

Just thought i would drop back in and say hello again.
I am still here and still have my ZRX, absolutely loving it though dont get out on it as much as i would like due to lifes little challenges.
Only had one problem with it, most likely due to it only having done 274 miles from new and stood for 2 years when i bought it, the chain is shagged. Got a new one, just need time to fit it now. I tried cleaning/lubing it but it didnt work.
Other than that, great bike. Must admit i still would like my Firestorm back though, thinking i might get one as a project over the winter, to complement the Rex.
One other thing, in ZRX circles is it not the done thing to let on to each other? you know? a nod of the head, flash the light etc. Every time i do i am met with nothing!! Blank looks etc. Never come across this on any other bike and being the friendly chap i am i always give a nod to fellow bikers, but people on Rexes never seem to respond, weird huh?

Never have that problem myself. In fact the Rex I'm most likely to see is Les's and he usually nearly falls off trying to say hello. (mind you, it's not difficult for Les to fall off...)

people on Rexes never seem to respond, weird huh? They`re just wannabe Harley owners and they`re practising for when they get their "Dream" bike

Dream bike is a ZRX1200R, has been since i saw one at the bike show years ago. Always room in the garage for summat else though, but nothing american unless its an OCC Chopper
