Setting up the suspension properly also makes the REX a much nicer ride. Set the sag correctly, then, on both ends, slack off the compression damping and increase the rebound damping from the stock settings. Won't put the handling/ride in the ball park with Ohlins and revalved forks, but will take the jarring out of the ride and make things stick a lot better. If ya have some small change, a fork brace helps as well, especially when leaned over, on the gas . . .
