I am back after a long absence. I was on this board last year, but stopped and then personal things got in the way. I was also minus a computer that I could use to access the site. A big hello to Mick (gremlin) and Pat (lady). How is is going with you two? The ZRX is off the road for the winter; too much crappy grit has taken its toll on the old girl, plus the fact that I can't do another winter - the body won't take it! I have been suffering the horrors of public transport of late but tomorrow I will be hopefully picking up a car. Last summer I went to the south of France on the REX; she behaved impeccably, 3000 miles without a single glitch, not a missed gear. I say that I went to the south of France, the intention was to go the the Alps, but when I got there it rained, really rained, for two days, so I got out the map and headed south. Then I suffered from the heat. Next year, planning on going to Scotland, so better pack the waterproofs. Hope all is well with those on the site, and hope too that in the spring we can meet up. All the best Doyle (formerly known as Doylzee - so not that much difference then)

:hello: and welcome back. Sorry to hear of your resent mishaps of your trip, glad the Rex behaved it self Some of us are planning a trip to Normandy next year , so any tips would be welcome. Did you take any Pics would be great to see them. Glad to hear your getting a car for the winter, spending a month or 3 on public transport does not bear thinking about...

Welcome back Dozy Sorry mate but that name is going to stick with you. Grem and me are both fine although Grem is busy with doing his Cert of ED at the moment. Glad to see you back on here. At least with a car you might stay dry. Let us know when you are planning to go to scotland, I might be able to give you some advice on where to go and to stay.

Welcome back Doylzee. Hadn't seen a post for a long time and wondered what was up. Glad the REX is still serving well. Brakey here had been complaining a while ago that rain was disturbing his riding down there in Spain. Maybe you ran into the edge of that. My REX is put up till probably April (-23C and snow). I can't take public transport out here so the 4x4 has to do during the winter.

Brakeline - I earned the right to be called Dozy -it takes a lot of effort believe me! As far as I know Bodie is alive and well.
Badger - As for pics of France there are some but all taken on old fashioned film - the digital camera was broken so bought a load of disposable ones. France is a great place to go because the drivers are much more aware of bikes - but watch out for the scooters. They ride them like idiots. I was constantly being cut up by them but over there that is taken as normal and not something to get upset about - you just have to go with the flow and not try and race them.
It's good to be back!

Welcome back into the fold. I seem to remember seeing a pic of your bike in Grem's slideshow, but it doesn't seem to be there now, so have you got any pics you can post?
