Jeepers! Just spent a load of hard earned on putoline! Have I been done? I think alot of it is psychology. In your mind, if you feel you've put bike specific oil in then all will be well. That's what marketing does for you!

Hmmm . . . have used Mobil 1 in my REX since the first oil change. Seems like that wasn't a bad choice at all.

Used Castrol GTX in all my bikes back in the 80's with no problems what so ever, i use Castrol Power 1 now, same as Lightspeed been using it since the bike was new, its a mid range semi-synt oil and not really that much dearer than a good car oil so will probably carry on with that, think if the bike was second hand and 10 years old i'd probably go back to GTX tho and not worry to much about about it, just my thoughts......

I change my oil and filter every 3000 miles or so. I just go for the cheapest deal. Hein Gericke were good for an oil and filter deal, but as they've gone belly up i'll have to look elsewhere now.
