Looking to change the tyres on my ZRX1100 soon, based on my prior preference I thought about using Dunlops, although I have no experience on how well they work on the Rex. Has anyone used Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart II on their ZRX1100 and if so what was your verdict on grip, stability, comfort and overall handling along with mileage performance. As part of the winterisation I will also be doing an oil change, using Castrol Act-Evo and a K&N oil filter along with new NGK Iridium spark plugs, NGK HT lead upgrade, K&N air filter and new EBC brake pads front and rear

I'm still on Bridgestone BT23's (OEM were BT21's) good tyres and no complaints after nearly 30000 on the bike, been threw 5ish pairs in that time i think.

I think That Castrol oil is a mineral oil whereas the book recommends a semi-synthetic oil. There is loads on here about oil and tyres, but a general consensus is that semi-skinned is best and some people declare that fully synth will cause clutch slip. Don't know that many use mineral oil.
Re tyres: -
I guess it depends whether you are looking for longevity and do a lot of motorway miles or enjoy spirited A and B roads when grip and stability are more important that tyre life

Firmhand - I am not a big fan of Bridgestones Burchy - I generally favour spirited A and B road with some motorway use and occassional pillion. So for me grip, stability and handling are more important than tyre mileage. Burchy and Brakeline - thanks for the feed back although, Castrol Act-Evo 10w40 is Semi-Synthetic Oil The features that made me consider Castrol Act-Evo over others •Protects from the start to the end of every journey •70% greater wear protection (Compared with a JASO MA2 oil) •Active Protection Molecules (APM) cling to critical engine components •Act-evo 4T is specially designed with Trizone Technology •Continuous protection at all operating temperatures •Act-evo 4T produces no rust in salt water corrosion tests •For four-stroke motorcycle engines where API SJ and JASO MA2 specifications are recommended Castrol Act-evo 4T is uniquely formulated with Trizone Technology_ Trizone testing uses Castrol’s own engine test methods to prove performance in the engine (good detergency and durability) reduced clutch slip and reduced gear pitting

I'm running Maxxis Sport tyres on the ZX9R. Good grip and cornering. Not at all bad in the wet and seem to be lasting well. A good budget tyre
I'm running Michelin Pilot Road 3 on the GTR14. More expensive, but confidence factor is much higher than on the OEM Bridgestones. Brilliant in the wet and long lasting. Reckon they would be good on a Rex. They corner really well, witness the lack of chicken strips.
Went to France in the Simmer and got chatting to two French Customs officers riding FJ300s These were shod with PR3 and not only no chicken strips, but the hero blobs on the footpegs were ground away and the were serious road marks under the pannier supports!!! 'Nuff said!

My "Kawasaki Owners Manual" only states that the oil type has to be SE, SF or SG class SAE 10W40, 10W50. 20W40 or 20W50

I'm quite liking my Conti Road Attack tires. Very good grip, wet or dry, and impressive mileage so far.

Pirelli Diablo for me on the round black things.
Semi synth on the liquid black stuff, tried fully synth and it certainly screwed up my clutch
