hello again, gail's rex 1200 was running poorly this last couple o weeks and went to check it out, found oil in with the spark plugs on number 2, 3 and 4 cylinders, got new gaskets for rocker cover coming, is this a common thing or maybe jusy a one off

Happened to mine, new gasket done the job, though didnt affect the running

It's wise to renew them. Not necessarily because of your problem but because oil can potentially be lost unknowingly very quickly via the exhaust emmission inlets if you ride the bike hard & neglect to religiously check your oil level can quickly lead to early engine failure due to oil starvation.
Have to admit it is something that I was unaware of and have only recently learned of it from a respected knowledgeable ZRX guru on the OA.
