I once had an engine frame bolt fall out from underneath my Z900a4. I'd not noticed any difference until an anorak told me it was missing and which bolt I must use with the right nut and it would be a right pig to do and I'd have to remove the zorsts. A rummage through the odds and ends box and I found something suitable. I used a pencil with a blob of blue tak with nut stuck to blue tak to feed up between the left hand tubes and 10mins it was done. So it's not an OEM part, so what I want to ride it not pamper it. 3 years later and it's still there.

i have an 06 rex1200 myself so i pinched the bolts out of it to get her going, i have got replacements from kawasaki now to put back. they are fine threads, but i thought it was unusual for frame bolts to drop out, maybe the are checked at main service, i have always serviced it but you cant check every nut and bolt, thanks, bobby

Checking all the frame/mounting bolts should be at least an annual thing. Vibration is the #1 enemy of properly snugged bolts.
