Hi all!
So… 4500 miles covered and she's been good as gold, i've carried out two services, one with silkolene and the last one with castrol, changed the plugs, bled the brakes and i think thats about it, nothing too complicated! The only things which are bugging me are a percieved increase in vibration, more buzzy than anything, is not drive train related and increases / decreases with revs. Obviously its a nightmare to diagnose ssomething like this on t'interweb but wondered if there were any obvious causes? Carb balance is spot on throughout the rev range, other than that i can only think it's something more serious, something which has slowly increased over the last year. Oil has never run low and i've not been doing wheelies hehe!
My second question is about the exhaust, i've bought a ZRX1100 micron exhaust for my 1200 and wondered if it's worth getting the carbs rejetted, if so does anyone have any recomendations on what to get and who to see about it. I have a gas analyser and was going to check the Co throughout the rev range but A i don't have any co figures to go by and B if that was the right way to do it, nobody would buy jet kits! I had to slighty mod the exhaust flange on the downpipe to get it to fit and am really pleased with it, especially considering it cost me £21.06! God i love ebay haha.
I hope everyone's well,
Rob.

Sticking on a micron system won't have any effect on the fuelling that's worth worry about. Changing the air filter, removing the airbox in favour of pods, fitting a jet kit will all effect the fuelling.
Check the wheel bearings and the sprocket carrier bearings for stack. these can give you a rough ride and make sure all the engine-to-frame mounts are correctly tight. Hope you solve it!

As Burchy says, a Micron system wont alter the fuelling at all as its not much different to the stock restricted system. Even with a decent system on there, you dont have to alter the jetting. Again, id agree with Burchy in with the checking the engine mounting bolts etc. These are pretty agricultural engines & could never be regarded as smooth at the best of times. Just a thought. I have heard of people using fully synthetic oil & experiencing an increase in vibration due to the oil being thinner than the correct 10w40 semi-synth. What type of oil are you using? Just a thought. . .

Just a thought, but there are 2 possible common(ish) sources of buzzing
Check the headlight beam adjuster screw. This might need moving a bit
Tap the radiator cover and see if that buzzes, especially an aftermarket one

CCT cam chain tensioner, Re Torque all engine mounting bolts, Have a look at chain & sprockets, Wheel bearings & wheel balance, that's just for starters.

If your carbs are out of sync, that can also create some vibes.
