have you tried no earthin it, Well ive sorted it after hours of sorting the mess of wires out it turns out that part of the wiring loom had be bodged up and connected up just by twisting the wires together and wrapped in tape the earth and live wire had fused together along with loads of other wires Ive chopped the bad section out and re connected it all properly and low and behold it all works lights on lights off as it should be

Ive also had to put a new earth cable on from the battery as the one i took off was wearing thin and giving intermitent earthing Arrr these old bikes do test ya patience but glad its all sorted

Sparky, the leccie god . Guid one mate. Just had to trace all through the wiring to get it sorted and glad i did as it could of set fire while i was riding it

Glad you got it sorted sparky I spoke too soon ..now when i put the ignition on the tail light comes on without me switching the lights on Ive prob just got to swap the 2 wires over as it seems to be on permanently from the battery Oh well you live an learn :hides:

I start out all calm but gradually lose patience :hair: :knock2: , most of the time its cos of someone elses bodges that you have to put right theres been quite a few issues with this one but im finally seeing the light ...parden the pun lights i find are an important feature as well as being able to open the petrol tank to put petrol in good job i checked it all over cos the bolts that hold the rear shocks on were loose as well TEST ride weekend and more pics coming of the day out
