A couple of your photos look as though they were taken in the kitchen on a granite worktop with tiled splashback. If you've got a cooker hood/burnt food odour extractor thingy you could use that with brakeys idea, and provided you get the timing right the Mrs will never know. Jobs a good'un

:blx: You'd worked hard on that too. Don't get the Nitromors out yet though, somebody may yet be able to tell you how you can rescue it. Painting was never my strong point either so I've been watching your progress with interest and hoping to learn something along the way. Full marks for giving it a go though. :ten: The learning curve gets a bit steep at times.

If the lacquer is cloudy sparky it happens to us all i have had this myself and it is with the cold weather, 1200 and soap will sort it out, just flatten off till you have no shine at all then i always use G3 rubbing compound to get the shine back you can use T Cut but it takes longer,
After you finished lacquering you left it in the shed with no heat didn't you its the cold that clouds it, i always bring things in to the house and put them in the spare bedroom to keep warm till the lacquer has hardened of. Mind you Sharon isn't in the house and by the time she comes home they are already in the bedroom anyway ;D

Ive scratched one side getting the bike out the shed so ill have to rub that bit down again I wont give up on it just yet
