Although i had to top the engine oil up when i first got the CBX im confused at how the oil in the frame actually works or should i say circulates without a full blown diagram of the oil ways to see the system its bugging me but more that i want to keep the bike in tip top condition and not let it starve of oil My thoughts were that the engine oil was re distributed from the head back down into the sump any ideas on this....im keeping the level right on the sump and the oil light has not come on again Ive read that the oil should be changed every 1500 mile seems lowish miles but if thats whats recommended then i think i should do that

Had a wee look under the tank and it seems that the oil does flow from the head back down the frame tubes to the sump ...Long as the oil level is correct on the marker it should be ok

Had a look under the tank and it looks like the oil ways run to the oil cooler rad under the fairing did not take the tank off as ive took enough to bits for now and still wondering WTF is happening with these electrics :hair: ive got them sorted out temporary for now so that all the lights work but no parking light comes on strange set up these cos it seems the lights are on some sort of timer Arrr well the joys of taking things to bits eh :mut: Must be more patient

My mistake ..it seems the 2 pipes that lead of the oil cooler that sits under the front of the fairing feed down into the frame then into the sump why they just didnt run 2 pipes into one then into the sump is beyond me but i guess they were trying to be inovative at the time something to do with keeping the bike from having too much of a belly small sump so obviously the oil level will be critical
